There’s been lots of rumors that Ryan Day was calling plays yesterday, or at least liberally using his veto power. And it sure looked like it. He spent the game with a play sheet in his hand. Tons of runs into the boundary. Lots of unimaginative runs up the middle, it looked a LOT like Day’s ineffective running scheme from a year ago. Where were the misdirections we saw earlier this season?
If Day was, in fact, calling plays, how is he not self aware enough to think “every time I try to do this, bad things happen”?
