I'm just a relatively successful high school coach. I've been a part of multiple games that start with the other team jumping out to a 21-0 lead. Every time we could stop the bleeding and close the gap a bit in the first half, we ended up winning that game. The confidence gained from withstanding that early onslaught made all of the difference. Also, home field advantage ends at the end of the first half. Psychological advantage is done.
I'm hoping the Buckeyes are mentally tough enough to overcome this. The toughness required has to come from the coaching staff. I liked what I saw from Coach Day in his halftime interview. Didn't seem rattled! Let's go Buckeyes!
MOD EDIT: No new threads during the game.
Might open back up after the game.
