Jeremiah Smith is a cyborg, Emeka is one of the more reliable clutch receivers in OSU history, and Carnell is rising through the ranks, but I wanted to give a special shoutout to Brandon Inniss.
With Emeka coming back this season, Brandon’s potential role in terms of production greatly reduced. But what I am seeing from him in interviews, what I look at on film, this guy is one of the unsung heroes of this team. He brings juice every single play and has that Terry McLaurin dawg mentality in him. Watching him pull around on those duo plays and just absolutely lay lumber to Oregon’s DB’s last night was something special. If you need him to make a catch, Chip has schemed it up for him. Most importantly, Carnell named Brandon as the guy who helped guide and navigate him through the trauma of his mother’s tragic death. In my opinion, he is the glue to Zone Six.
In his interviews, he says the team listens to him when he talks - even though his production does not match the top 3 WR’s - because everyone on the team knows the work he puts in and they respect him. His trash talking during games never crosses the line; it’s just to let everyone he’s here, and he’s going to be in your head all sixty minutes.
He may not be one of the more productive receivers in OSU history, but his role is going to increase tremendously next season and he will be making a lot more plays. Keep being a dawg, #11.
