So, early in the first half, we had a very odd/new looking defensive scheme. Downs was directly behind 2 LBs (about 2 yards off). Then two safeties overtop behind him. He then walks into almost as the 3rd LB. Gabriel saw this and checked out of a pass play bc he was clearly very very confused as he pointed at Downs. He checked into a run which was shut down for I think a -1 yard loss. My question: was this Knowles Jack formation or is this something we’ve never done before? Gabriel had clearly never seen it before based on his reactions.
