Since our loss to Oregon, and only counting games against teams with a winning record, Jim Knowles’ defense has given up a total of 89 points for an average of 14.83 points per game. If you disregard garbage 4th quarter points, this average is 10 points a game. Astoundingly, if you only include playoff teams (PSU, IU, Tenn, Oregon), that average points allowed actually drops slightly 14.75/9.5.
Nebraska: 17/8 (total points/garbage points)
PSU: 6/0
Indiana: 15/8
TSUN: 13/0
Tenn: 17/7
Oregon: 21/6
Totals: 89/29
Average Points Allowed/Average Points less garbage: 14.83/10
This is the number one reason, I am confident about a Buckeyes win. If the offense only needs to beat 15 points per game with 21 as the max…well, I’ll take the Bucks no matter who we’re playing.
