…after Ewers transferred away from Ohio State that the last pass of his career would be to a Buckeye?
And that’s not a dig a Ewers, either. The kid was only doing what he thought was best for his career, and by all accounts, not only has he played well at Texas (both over his career there and last night), he also seems like a decent guy, has kept up relations with people here in Columbus, and appeared to be the model of sportsmanship after the game.
It’s just ironic that, after having never even having attempted an in-game pass to someone wearing an Ohio State uniform, he finally makes that connection on his last collegiate play. In a weird way, it’s almost poetic.
