Haven't seen anyone else call out this, but midway through the second quarter he makes an incredible sideline catch on a 3rd and 19. Most likely his best catch of the season. There was no replay that I could find for this, and that's a pity.
The reason being, I'm assuming is that it didn't convert to a 1st down because we were behind the sticks due to the stupid penalties. But still, don't know why they treated that so ho-hum.
I'm not even a 100% sure he was inbounds because at full game speed (espn's game replay video doesn't have a speed setting) you just couldn't tell.
If anyone has seen a clip of this on youtube(where I can slow it down) , please let me know. I can't find it.
But still more strong evidence for having confidence in our group if they try to blanket Smith again.
