Ewers received $4.5mm+ while at Texas.  He left because he didn't want to sit.

Had he stayed at Ohio State, there's a VERY GOOD CHANCE they are competing for back to back national championships, assuming Ewers doesn't bounce after one season.  His draft stock would undoubtedly be higher, fetching him more money than he's looking at now as a draft pick.  And there's a really good chance he wins the Heisman last year, or this season.

All told, injuries aside, leaving Ohio State was a bad decision for Ewers.
