My wife had a really long doctors appointment today with a lot of waiting. I had nothing to do and others have mentioned that USC hung a lot of yards on Notre Dame this season. I went ahead and watched that matchup and couldn’t believe how wide open USC’s receivers were. Seriously they were getting a lot of separation and the qb was hitting them in space and they were also getting yards after the catch. They weren’t Fluke plays. Problem for USC is that their defense was Swiss cheese and was making Notre Dames offense look like world beaters. I can’t think of an Elite receiving corps that they played outside of USC. The teams they faced in the playoffs I wouldn’t consider top echelon when it comes to wide receiver talent ( especially IU or Penn state). Chip Kelly said in his press conference Notre Dame plays man because they can and they’re that talented. Is this because they are that talented or have they faced mostly pedestrian Wide receivers? I feel like if that’s their game plan OSU can get their play makers in space and make them pay for it.Thoughts?
Has Notre Dame Faced a Receiving Corp Like Ours All Season?
