I haven't seen anyone talk about this yet, so I wanted to start the conversation. Before the playoffs were a thing just making a bowl game was a huge advantage because you got the "extra 15 practices" during Bowl prep to essentially kick start development of underclassmen for next year.
Now teams that make the playoffs get those extra practices and more, the more they win...Ohio State and Notre Dame are now the only teams practicing this week. 5-10 extra practices on top of the normal amount from a singular bowl game might not seem like a lot, but I bet that sets us up really well for next season given we are going to be starting a lot of new kids.
