More accurately, less-sung, because every player on this team has gotten deserving praise. I’ll start with Ty Hamilton. 3 star guy from Columbus who hung around for his 5th year and started every game. Had himself in amazing shape to endure a long season and was very productive up front for the best defense in America. Next we have Josh Fryar. Perhaps the most scrutinized player coming into this year, and he was nothing but solid. Played every single game and didn’t give up much. For a player that severely struggled a year prior, his turnaround was paramount in our title. Will Kaczmarek. He is an absolute mauler in run blocking. He will routinely seal off defensive ends and open up massive holes for our backs. Him returning next year is absolutely massive for our offense, and his impact during the playoff run was unreal. We seriously missed him during the TUN game. Last, but obviously not least is Denzel Burke. Career record for starts as a defensive buckeye. Stud as a freshman, had a sophomore slump. Junior year played lights out, into rounds 1-2, but decides to return. Has one bad game in Eugene and all of America turns on him, but he doesn’t let that get to him. Has one of the most impressively quiet playoff runs we needed out of a DB. Hardly any penalties, hardly any completions given up, and was tenacious as a tackler.
