I think we all had moments of frustration with Iggy throughout the year, most recently with a drive-extending 3rd and 19 penalty in the championship game. Winning it all has allowed me to look back more objectively, but I wonder how the rest of you feel about his play.
Do you believe that his style of play was a net positive, because he likely could be called for a penalty on half his plays? It's hard to argue with the overall results, as I kept expecting more teams to check 50/50 balls his way for an easy 15. His overall physicality and propensity to grab his receiver allowed for plenty of coverage sacks that put our opponents behind the chains.
Or do you think that we should have looked at Matthews a little sooner to play cleaner, but maybe making us more succeptible to plays in which Iggy would have been draped all over the receiver?
The only thing I know for sure is that I never clinched harder than when a ball was thrown in his direction.
