Was listening to TPD this morning, and Birm was talking about all of the smoke surrounding Carnell Tate transferring to Oregon or Texas. Now, I've been a supporter of NIL since the beginning, and generally think that, if the market dictates it, then yeah, a high school senior should be able to sign a $12 million dollar contract to play for a scumbag program like UM. But what I really have trouble getting behind is a player transferring after spending 2 years in a program where he is getting the best coaching available, has won a national championship, and (most likely) has still made some good money.
How much is legacy worth? And when did it become zero?
P.S. Hopefully it is all just smoke and he never leaves, but if TPD is talking about it, it is substantiated enough for me.
