While the Buckeyes were impressive through the season it is an understatement to say they were on a completely different level in the playoffs. The way they created massive deficits in games outside of the Texas game is just as impressive as the teams they beat. In the 3 games outside of Texas they scored 21 unanswered points twice in one game (Tennessee) 34 unanswered points (Oregon) and 31 unanswered points to Notre Dame. Yes Notre Dame fought back and made it close and there are many reasons for that, but there was still too great of a deficit to overcome.Even if the final scores of the games may have seemed closer than they were, Ohio State had MASSIVE leads.
