With Jim Knowles leaving, it’s s unexpected, and it sucks. I’m not here to debate how good he was or how replaceable he might have been.

This is an opportunity to show what kind of fan base we are. Believe it or not, the comments you post on threads end up on Twitter, and other prospects (including players and coaching prospects) can see them. This affects the reputation of the program. The internet lives forever, and it's no longer just this obscure space that only fringe OSU fans read. People are constantly on their phones, and a negative comment on a random forum or blog can have tangible effects on the program and community. Even if it's minuscule, it's just not worth it.

I'm not saying you need to wish the guy luck or be happy for him, but please don’t write dumb or negative stuff online. There is literally no benefit. Keep it to yourself or say it to your friends in person, but writing something on the internet can only hurt. I get that you’re frustrated, but does writing a negative comment online actually help you feel less frustrated? It does not make anything better and could potentially make things worse.

Just please, no dumb comments.

P.S. I say this knowing his sister is heavily online and a big OSU fan.
