Obviously we all post here because of our love of the Buckeyes (or you're a fan of the rival and you're here to stir it up, which, that's fine too), but we all love the sport of football as well.
That said, I assume most of us have a favorite team in the NFL as well? Lots of Bengals and Browns fans on the boards, but I myself don't follow either Ohio NFL team, even though I've lived here pretty much forever.
I'm also a Philadelphia Eagles fan, and for the first time in my life I got to celebrate the Buckeyes winning a national championship, and the Eagles winning a Super Bowl.
Never in a million years would I have thought that could be possible, in fact for 26 years I presumed the Eagles would never win a Super Bowl, but here I am, blessed by the football gods with championships for both teams for which I have a rooting interest.
Anyone else experience anything similar across any sports? The Buckeyes take a title the same year as your favorite Hockey or Basketball teams?
The closest I've ever gotten is the football team winning the national championships the 2014-2015 season and the Ohio State wrestling team taking the team championship at nationals that same year.
