Associate athletic director of football operations Brian Voltolini is no longer a member of Ohio State’s staff as his contract was not renewed following last season, The Lantern reported Thursday.
Voltolini had been with Ohio State since 2012, joining the Buckeyes as director of football operations when Urban Meyer became the Buckeyes’ head coach. He was one of three remaining members of Meyer’s original staff still with the Buckeyes last season, along with general manager Mark Pantoni and director of sports performance Mickey Marotti.
Ryan Day retained Voltolini alongside Pantoni and Marotti when he became Ohio State’s head coach in 2019. While Pantoni and Marotti remain with the Buckeyes, however, Ohio State and Voltolini have now parted ways after 13 years.
Other key members of Ohio State’s football operations staff who remain in place from last season include chief of staff Quinn Tempel and assistant director of football operations Austin Edwards.
