As it stands, Ohio State has two defensive line commitments in the 2023 recruiting class. One is Jason Moore, the best defensive line recruit to come out of DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, MD since the likes of Chase Young, and the other is Will Smith Jr., the son of Buckeye legend and former NFL pro bowler Will Smith (may he R.I.P.)
With the addition of Moore and Smith (among others), Ohio State currently has the fifth-ranked 2023 recruiting class in the nation according to the 247sports.com composite rankings, and the fourth-ranked 2023 recruiting class according to the On.com rankings.
And according to many, Ohio State has the best odds of landing five-star defensive ends Damon Wilson and Matayo Uiagalelei, two of the top-three defensive ends (edge rushers) in the country. Wilson is 100% crystal balled to Ohio State on 247sports.com, while Uiagalelei isn't crystal balled to anyone yet. However, according to On3.com, Ohio State has the best odds of landing the Bellflower, Ca. standout.
The question is, will they land both, one, neither one, or both of them AND another five-star edge?
Along with the two, Keon Keeley, arguably the No. 1 defensive player in the nation, has also shown interest in Ohio State. A strong Alabama lean after decommitting from Notre Dame, the so-called experts on On3.com give OSU a 41.2% chance of landing him.
Anyway, what do you think will happen? Which of the three would you prefer to see suited up in scarlet and gray on fall Saturdays? What's the most feasible scenario? And does Ohio State have any realistic shot at landing Keeley, all three?
