For those of us who follow recruiting, the 2021 class was one we knew would be full of contributors by their 3rd year. Not only was it a historically highly rated class, but it was one that was very balanced in terms of offense AND defense.
Looking back, however, the impact that class is having right now is even greater than what I expected. The "hit" rate is much higher than most other classes in terms of full time starters and consistent contributors, as much of this cycle has developed well by their junior year.
I haven't seen a single recruiting class have this much of an impact since the 2017 cycle's impact on the 2019 OSU team.
