I watched the Mexico game last night at a friend's house. Awesome awesome game. Had a little of everything. It seems like the USA has never had a brighter future given the age of our stars.
I am a super casual soccer fan - really enjoy the sport, but don't track the European leagues and basically watch the world cup and go to a couple MLS games each year. So I have a couple of questions for people who know what they are talking about:
1) What are realistic expectations for the USMNT this go-around? Obviously they should qualify, but can they do anything in the '22 World Cup or is that just folly? They seem like they have more elite talent than in the past - but I don't really know enough.
2) How the hell are you supposed to watch the USMNT games especially when they get into qualifiers? I am a cord cutter, and I have Sling, but I can't figure out how the hell to get the games - they must have the worst tv contract setup in the world. Any advice for what I should be subscribing to in order to watch the qualifiers in the fall and winter?
