Ohio State blows out Indiana, 38-15. Now, it's time to do the same to That Team Up North.
An incomplete rant I'd like your all's input on, respectfully.
It doesn't really feel like either Ohio team, the NFL itself, or all of Ohio (12mil) benefits all that much. LA can support not just one but two teams in the greater metropolitan area (13mil), and does so efficiently with one team in either conference.
So what benefit is there, a rivalry? Speaking for Bengals fans the primary rival of the division for us is the Steelers. I know division rivalries mean different things to every fan, but I don't think there's a single person who holds any of them up to a collegiate rivalry such as The Game. Any given year if you were given a chance to go 0-6 in the division and guarantee you win the Super Bowl, you take that deal. Depending on the franchise you are willing to go much, much longer without a division win to guarantee such an outcome.
Idk maybe it's just me loving Ohio football and not wanting the state to divide itself needlessly when we could be supporting both. I also think the AFC is a gauntlet relative to the NFC nowadays. I think theres only one or two truly good teams in the NFC right now
