Ohio State beat Morehead State last night, 6-3, to improve to 27-10 overall.
"Our bullpen pitched very well," head coach Greg Beals told OhioStateBuckeyes.com after the win. "We had guys step up tonight too at the plate. Jalen Washington had his first career start today and went 2-for-3 with some good defensive plays too. It's great to have guys like that on this team and he was ready to go. We kept the momentum going and we need to continue to that tomorrow."
The Buckeyes win was likely sealed before the game even started. Zach Farmer, the left-handed pitcher battling myeloid leukemia, returned to throw out the honorary first pitch.
Today, the baseball team, which is off to a surprisingly hot start, received more good news. They've moved up four spots in the latest RPI.
