Across the Twitterverse: Review of the Week's Best Tweets

You may find that work, school, or other obligations keep you from focusing on Twitter the way you should. Thankfully for you, I'm able to tune out those distractions and provide you with a weekly rundown of the best tweets from around campus.

Tomorrow is Ohio State's annual spring game and it remains one of my favorite days of the year. It doesn't count for anything and you won't remember the score for longer week, but that's okay. It's a day to celebrate Buckeye football with no pressure, no anxiety, little cost, and abnormally beautiful weather. Plus, it's a the perfect time to bring children. When I was seven years old, I attended my first one with my older sisters who were students at the time, and I'll never forget it. To put it simply, I was in awe.

I went early and met the entire team in the french field house, then I walked around campus and gave some hearty "O-H"s to which total strangers replied "I-O." I watched the band perform The Incomparable, I sang the "The Buckeye Battle Cry" at the top of my lungs, and I saw my Buckeye heroes take the field in person for the very first time. At seven years old, I knew this was exactly where I was going to be 11 years down the road – and I was right.

So tomorrow, take your kids. Take your siblings, take your little cousins, your nieces and your nephews. Walk them around campus, teach them the fight songs, and maybe even buy them an overpriced string of nuts to wear around their neck. Don't underestimate how much it will mean to them even 10 years later.

Pardon the nostalgia. As promised here are the lighthearted tweets you came for.

Let it be known, I am a perfect 1 for 1 fighting CampusParc tickets, which is akin to going toe to toe with the devil and prevailing.

To be honest, I would certainly hope so. Cause it kind of literally is.

Joey Lane felt the shade.

Here's the thing: all cable companies are bad. All of them. It's just a fact of life and something you have to deal with, like mosquitos or the common cold.

He shot 50. I've been shooting at the RPAC by myself and not put up 50 shots. At the very least, you have to admire the endurance.

It's amazing to me that Ohio State is likely going to sell close to 100,000 tickets to a fake football game that's being televised. Other schools can't get a quarter of that number to go for free. You're a crazy bunch, Buckeye fans, and I'll see you there.

ODen Joins Managers

This is shaping up to be a banner year for the Ohio State men's basketball managers. After winning an intramural title a few weeks ago, they got perhaps the school's biggest recruiting win of the season (with all due respect to Urban Meyer and Kevin McGuff), landing former Buckeye center Greg Oden.

Oden wasted no time getting to work.

It's unclear whether or not Oden will play on the managers' powerhouse intramural squad next year, but I'd bet people would be willing to pay good money to watch him dunk on kids (me, possibly) in an intramural game.
