The Ohio State men's volleyball team extended its dominant season Friday night by winning its 26th regular season MIVA Conference championship with a win over McKendree in straight sets.
26 regular season titles for the Buckeyes marks a all-time record for the conference, leading Ball State's 21 titles by five.
Against the Bearcats, the Buckeyes were led by senior Miles Johnson and junior Nicolas Szerszen. Johnson had 21 kills while Szerzen had 14, totaling 35. As a team, the Buckeyes had 45 kills.
Senior setter Christy Blough also notched 39 assists in the conference-clinching win.

The Buckeyes are ranked No. 1 in the country once again, after a loss to UC Irvine March 11 dropped them to the No. 2 spot. They also lost a match March 28 to Penn State, putting them at 24-2 overall and 13-0 in conference play this season.
Their next match is a rematch with the McKendree Bearcats April 1 at 7 p.m. in Columbus. This match will be the Buckeyes' senior night.
