NBA Finals. Wow.
Game 1 of the finals was the best NBA Playoff game in a long time. J.R. Smith's bonehead play, the referees, and another majestic LeBron performance were the big storylines after game 1. There were a lot of #takes from former and current Buckeyes, as well.
Btw. Lebron was UNREAL last night. Kind of forgot about that. One of the single greatest performances ever in a Finals game.

I truly believe JR thought he just pulled down a defensive rebound and was trying to break towards other basket. Look at his eyes and how they look up at opposing basket/clock area. He was going the wrong way. SMH
— J Jaggers (@jjaggers2x) June 1, 2018
I still wanna vomit over what JR did last night.
— Dustin Fox (@DustinFox37) June 1, 2018
Woke up mad at Earl!!!!
— Jt#1 (@o_tate_) June 1, 2018
If you think Bron passing to George Hill was why they lost then you clearly dont know basketball. I dont want to communicate anything in life with you. Perfect read!
— E Ravenel (@e_rav24) June 1, 2018
#Cavs fans can bitch about the refs & Hill missing the FT & JR being JR but the fact remains, they had a chance in OT and flat out mailed it in. Quit. Didn't want to play anymore. You are the underdog and have a shot to steal game 1 in OT on the road. Can't roll over & die.
— Matt Finkes (@MattFinkes) June 1, 2018
In my opinion of the #Cavs and #warriors #NBAFinals game last night the real outcome was that if we just made our free throws it wouldnt have even gone to overtime.
— Russell D (@russdoup32) June 1, 2018
LeBron James can remember every play of a 48-minute basketball game. JR Smith cant remember the score.
— Doug Lesmerises (@DougLesmerises) June 1, 2018
Draymond is a clown. Never has he not been. Good player. Not great. Has the luxury of playing with elite players so hes relevant.
— Zach Sith #Zone6 (@CoachZachSmith) June 1, 2018
JR Smith....smh
— Darron Lee (@DLeeMG8) June 1, 2018
You shouldn't be officiating at any level if you need to review this to determine if Bron was in restricted area. @NBA used that excuse to review and overturn a 50/50 call that was called differently on floor. Just unreal. UNREAL! pic.twitter.com/XFr1zIRNFl
— J Jaggers (@jjaggers2x) June 1, 2018
Damn this a whole mood right now pic.twitter.com/daqQiieSBe
— Jonathon Cooper (@JonathonCooper7) June 1, 2018
Curry complaining about a no foul call up 9 with 30 seconds left in OT after Bron's block is just unbelievable. That's what triggered the whole skirmish. Bron had to be like "really? Really dude? You want THAT call too?"
— J Jaggers (@jjaggers2x) June 1, 2018
The fact they can review a call at the end of the game after they screw up calls all game is hilarious
— Kirk Barton (@Kirk_Barton) June 1, 2018
I know @KingJames. I know. F. pic.twitter.com/bOQ5w4sOVi

Man we got cheated so bad....
— Jermale Hines (@Male_Hines7) June 1, 2018
Respect for Coach Lue defending JR in the media cause lord knows he has a whole city at his neck right now.
— E Ravenel (@e_rav24) June 1, 2018
Cavs should bench JR Smith and start Kyle Korver. Shake up that lineup and make JR prove he can make baskets and be effective in a positive way.
— Larry Grant (@LarryGrant95) June 1, 2018
LeBron should be excused from the press conferences . Cause if I were buddy I would just SNAP
— Asia Doss (@AsiaDoss_) June 1, 2018
To all of the young b-ball players out there who watched the end of the Cavs vs Warriors 4th Qtr. Please understand what Time & Score means
— Ron Stokes (@Ron_Stokes) June 1, 2018
I get all the other factors of the game but LeBron scored 51 just for the Cavs to go to OT. That's a problem. The best "team" ever is playing against the best player ever. That's my opinion
— E (@RestUpBoog) June 1, 2018
JR was trippin. But why didn't Tye Lue call timeout? Bron should leave the cavs and start his own team in Akron. With his Bronny jr as the pg.
— Chimdi Chekwa (@ChimChek) June 1, 2018
Bron should have stayed n MIA fr lol
— Jalyn Holmes (@JayHolmes_) June 1, 2018
Reversed charge call, give up and and 1 layup while up 2, miss a go-ahead FT and then JR didnt know the score. If I was a real Cleveland fan, Id never watch basketball again. Lol
— Sam Thompson (@SlamIAm12) June 1, 2018
The fact that you can review a JUDGEMENT call in super slow motion at the most pivotal point in a finals game is a disgusting. Probably not gonna sleep tonight
— Kenny Cunningham (@Dr_Kenneth) June 1, 2018
And that reverse charge call?
— Terry McLaurin (@TheTerry_25) June 1, 2018
I would love to be a fly on the wall in that Cavs locker room right now.
— E Ravenel (@e_rav24) June 1, 2018
I have never ever seen a player look foolish at the end of two halves until I witnessed J.R. Smith do it tonight. pic.twitter.com/1YD9eH9GQM
— Vaughn Broadnax (@vaughnbroadnax) June 1, 2018
Lebron is outttttttt after this year lol
— Nick Bosa (@nbsmallerbear) June 1, 2018
Kevin Loves terrible haircut is the only takeaway from this game for me.
— Joey Lane (@JoeySmoke11) June 1, 2018
The officiating was very suspect. The Warriors dont need help
— Jon Diebler (@J_Diebler) June 1, 2018
LeBron need to gone head & deuce up out CLE after this season regardless..
— Asia Doss (@AsiaDoss_) June 1, 2018
Unfollowing jr*
— CY2 (@youngchase907) June 1, 2018
Refs at every level are bad!
— Stanley jackson (@Jacksonville8) June 1, 2018
There are so many more tweets, it's incredible. A LOT of #hot #takes on Earl "J.R." Smith and LeBron.
David Bell is probably more optimistic than most of you, though:
1 game. We still got The KING. No stress
