172 current and former Ohio State athletes will receive their degrees on Sunday.
The Buckeyes earning their degrees on Sunday include 10 current and former football players. Former Ohio State guard Gavin Cupp is earning his master's degree in kinesiology while Ellijah Gardiner, Zaid Hamdan, Demario McCall, Bradley Robinson, Bradley Roby, Mitch Rossi, Ben Schmiesing, Trayvon Wilburn and Max Wray will receive bachelor's degrees.
Gardiner, McCall, Robinson and Rossi all remain on the Buckeyes' roster for 2021, with Robinson – who is earning two degrees, one in human development and family science and one in nutrition – set for his second season as Ohio State's top long snapper.

Roby, who left Ohio State without graduating when he entered the 2014 NFL draft, is earning a bachelor's degree in communication through Ohio State's degree completion program. Hamdan (James Madison), Schmiesing (Dayton) and Wray (undecided) will all be completing their college football careers elsewhere as graduate transfers, while Cupp and Wilburn have concluded their collegiate careers.
Other current and former Ohio State athletes receiving their degrees on Sunday include:
- Former men's basketball player Abel Porter, who was forced to retire from basketball after he was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in October, earned his MBA in finance through the degree completion program.
- Former men's hockey player Tanner Fritz, who now plays for the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, earned a bachelor's degree in sports industry through the degree completion program.
- Two-time All-Big Ten women's basketball player Dorka Juhász, who announced last month that she would transfer to UConn, earned a bachelor's degree in psychology.
- Former women's hockey player Jincy Dunne, Ohio State's 2020 Female Athlete of the Year, earned her master's degree in sports coaching through the degree completion program.
This year's spring commencement at Ohio Stadium – the first in-person commencement ceremony at Ohio State since the 2019 autumn commencement – has been split into two sessions, at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., due to ongoing COVID-19 protocols. Both ceremonies can be streamed through Ohio State's website.
