This Week in Twitter is a look at some of the week's best and most entertaining tweets from Buckeyeland and beyond.
The start of February ushered in one of the busiest weeks Ohio State Twitter has had yet through the new year. Monday started off on a nice note when former Buckeye wide receiver and Massillon native Devin Jordan announced he would be returning to Columbus as an offensive assistant.

However, the week largely consisted of excitement surrounding the run up to Super Bowl. Three of the team captains playing in Sunday's professional football championship are former Ohio State players — four if counting a certain Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback.

The Cincinnati Bengals feature two of those three former Buckeyes — Vonn Bell and Sam Hubbard — in addition to Joe Burrow. But in case Ohio State fans were not already supporting the Queen City's football team, Hubbard gave everyone a reminder how powerful meme magic is this week while doing the Super Bowl media rounds.

Elsewhere in the NFL, the football team formerly known as the Washington Football Team is now known as the Washington Commanders. A brave weather helicopter broke the news of the name change earlier this week, but Chase Young and Terry McLaurin helped deliver the new look of the uniforms.

Meanwhile, recent Buckeye departures and aspiring NFL players alike gathered in Mobile, AL to practice in anticipation of the Reese's Senior Bowl. Tyreke Smith and Jeremy Ruckert each had impressive showings in practice that will give them good momentum heading into the draft evaluation window.

#OhioState TE Jeremy Ruckert has looked really smooth catching the football. Just pulled a low pass from Carson Strong off his shoe tops.

Ruckert is going to gain momentum this week.
Unfortunately, Haskell Garrett suffered an injury while going toe-to-toe with a former Michigan offensive lineman in practice. However, the one-time All American relayed that he still intends to play in the Senior Bowl this weekend.

But the biggest feud on Twitter this week surrounding Ohio State football was far and away the ongoing controversy that has ensued regarding Buckeye fans' ability to "claim" Joe Burrow. Tom Brady swirled that ongoing whirlwind a bit further this week in the media circus of his retirement.
Tom Brady tells Joe Burrow that one of the best decisions the Bengals QB ever made was leaving "that god-forsaken place," Ohio State.
— Luke Easterling (@LukeEasterling) February 1, 2022
Brady's comments prompted Ohio State fans to defend their experience with Burrow, which then brought out the wrath of the LSU and SEC fans that refuse to share their adopted son of Athens. Many disgruntled Tiger fans — helplessly watching their new head coach grind himself out of consideration for recruiting targets — continued to make the same case they have for years that Burrow could never be a Buckeye again.
The beef got so bad that it prompted the creation of several fake Burrow quote graphics in defense of each side that spread like wildfire across social media.
After a lot of noise, Joey Franchise would hear none of it any longer.

And if there were any further doubts from the other side of the state about Burrow's love for Ohio, Cleveland legend Kid Cudi put those to rest with his outfit reveal for the Super Bowl.

Ok. So after the Bengals win against the Chiefs, I hit Joe and congratulated him and asked if I could have his jersey. He said yes and sent it right away rockin this bitch to the game and then framing it. I am so geeked right now. #ohiolove @JoeyB @Bengals pic.twitter.com/mHWHfVRkR6
Back on campus, Ohio State Athletics scored a major victory last night when the Men's Tennis team swept the No.1 overall Tennessee squad. Though the Buckeyes will have a quick turnaround with No. 6 Virginia visiting on Sunday, the celebration could not wait.

Not to be outdone, Men's Hockey pulled off a late comeback win over Wisconsin last night with a game-ending deke of the Badger goalie in overtime.

In hoops news, E.J. Liddell earned some hardware hype this week with naming on both the Karl Malone and John Wooden late season award watchlists.

And as NBA All-Star Weekend looms later this month, Jae'Sean Tate continues to earn professional distinction with his naming to the 2022 Rising Stars game.

But as with many students, the snowstorms on campus this week have some players feeling certain types of ways about still needing to trek it to lecture.

For those that cannot wait for the pending publishing date, further recommended reading would be the Michigan message boards from earlier in the week when it appeared Jim Harbaugh would ghost Ann Arbor.
