Death, taxes, Ohio State's synchronized swim team winning the national title.
Under the leadership of head coach Holly Vargo-Brown, Ohio State's synchronized swimming team bagged the 2022 national title this afternoon at McCorkle Aquatic Center.
The victory marks the program's 33rd national title since 1977 and its eighth of Vargo-Brown's tenure.
The Buckeyes dominated the U.S. Collegiate Championship, winning the overall team title while also earning first place in the solo, duet and trio categories.
Nikki Dzurko won first place in the solo category, putting the cherry on top of an undefeated season.

Dzurko and Laila Huric won first place in the duet category with teammates Emily Armstrong and Ruby Remati taking second.
And the Buckeyes finish 1-2 in the duet!

The Buckeyes also took first place in the trio category thanks to Armstrong, Remati and Cassie Neeley.

This marks Ohio State's first national title since 2019 when the Buckeyes also swept first place in the solo, duet, trio and team categories.
