This Week in Twitter is a look at some of the week's best and most entertaining tweets from Buckeyeland and beyond.
It's a new year all across Buckeye nation, and with a new year comes the many firsts of 2023 for all the Ohio State athletics teams and their pre-game rituals.

What wasn't a first was the continued stellar play of Brice Sensabaugh, as the Buckeye won conference freshman of the week honors for a third time in a row after the basketball team's 73-57 win over Northwestern last weekend.

Also not a first? Chris Holtmann's stalwart commitment to vests in a fashion that would make Jim Tressel blush.

Speaking of football, by now most fans are aware that Ohio State's season came to a shocking close just moments into the new year. However, the team already seems prepared to move on and work towards an even better result at the next College Football Playoff.

Of course, the beginning of the offseason also marks a push of momentum on the national coaching carousel, which makes it no surprise that the Buckeyes' saw former assistant strength and conditioning coach Niko Palazeti depart for Cincinnati this week. In response to his farewell post, several past and present Ohio State football players took to Twitter to express their thanks and best wishes for Palazeti as he becomes Director of Sports Performance for the Bearcats.
Among them included Haskell Garrett, Tommy Togiai, Master Teague III, Sevyn Banks, Chip Trayanum, Tyreke Smith, and TreVeyon Henderson.
Gonna miss you Niko!

As for coaches remaining on staff for the Buckeyes, Brian Hartline seems to be lusting after his days as a Miami Dolphin even when faced with some of the more forgiving winter weather Ohio has to offer in January.
Its like 60 degrees in Columbus, OH but I think I need a hot tub.

Anybody know a guy? #CanIGetAHOTTUB!?
On a final positive note for the football team in wake of the end of the season, three Buckeye recruits won Gatorade Player of the Year honors for their respective states this week. Quarterback Lincoln Kienholz won in South Dakota, while wide receiver Brandon Inniss led in Florida and defensive lineman Jason Moore took first place in Maryland.

In the NFL, the fallout from Damar Hamlin's injury on Monday Night Football dominated most of the discussion on social media this week. Amid all the emerging headlines, one curious detail that surfaced as it relates to the Buckeyes was that the Bills assistant Athletic Trainer responsible for administering on-field treatment to Hamlin earned his graduate degree at Ohio State.

Former Buckeye defensive tackle Dre'Mont Jones had one of the leading responses to Skip Bayless' now-infamous tweet about the Hamlin situation's impact on the overall outcome of the NFL regular season.
The tweet represents how us pro athletes get dehumanized because of money and entertainment https://t.co/mrh0NjRgiH

Speaking of money and entertainment generated from pro athletes, sports betting became fully legal in Ohio over the last week! Jon Rothstein celebrated this by releasing a ranking of the top 20 Buckeye basketball players since the year 2000, and there are sure to be some opinions about Aaron Craft getting left out of the top five.

On the eve of the final Sunday of the NFL regular season, This Week in Twitter concludes with former Ohio State running back Curtis Samuel slamming full speed into one of the Cleveland Browns' defensive stars in a way that would make Orlando Pace proud.
