The Ohio State athletic department has invested plenty of resources into facilities for its various sports over the years. It now has a new way to show them off.

In partnership with Skyway Interactive, a company that produces custom-made virtual tours for professional sports franchises and colleges and universities across the United States, Ohio State fans can now view 360-degree panoramic images of the Buckeyes' stadiums, arenas and practice facilities captured by Skyway with cameras and drones.

“These virtual tours are such an incredible recruiting tool, and Ohio State has some of the finest facilities in the NCAA, so this will really allow their coaches to showcase everything the Buckeyes have to offer. Prospective student-athletes will be able to get an up-close look at the facilities no matter where they are in the world." Skyway Interactive founder Jake Donahue said in a statement.

Over a six-month period, Skyway collected 150 separate 360-degree views of Ohio State's athletic facilities, including Ohio Stadium, the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, the Schottenstein Center, the Covelli Center and several other buildings utilized by the Buckeyes' 36 varsity programs.

As part of Ohio State's agreement with Skyway, the athletic department will continuously update its interactive website with new images and views as necessary. According to Skyway's press release, many of those updates will come sooner rather than later as the school plans to take advantage of improved weather conditions and the availability of facilities, such as the brand-new Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium.

Beyond images and 360-degree views, Ohio State will incorporate additional multimedia to Skyway's website, including videos, slideshows and graphics.

Ohio State is the seventh Big Ten school that Skyway Interactive has worked with since the company's inception in 2017. They have also created virtual tours for Michigan, Illinois Northwestern, Penn State, Purdue and Rutgers. Other NCAA clients include Notre Dame, Kansas, Kentucky and soon-to-be Big Ten member USC.
