This Week In Twitter is a look at some of the week’s best and most entertaining tweets from Buckeyeland and beyond.

The offseason has begun in Columbus, and the Buckeyes have already made quite a splash with the addition of transfer quarterback Will Howard — who led Kansas State to the Big 12 title in 2022.

And although Howard has been a Buckeye for a short time, he is well aware of the expectations of playing quarterback at Ohio State.

The Buckeyes also shored up their offensive line, pulling former Alabama center Seth McLaughlin from the transfer portal.

The transfer additions weren’t the only good news the Buckeyes received during the week. A pair of standout contributors on the Ohio State defensive line announced their intentions to return to Columbus for another season in the Scarlet and Gray.

Ohio State’s secondary also received a boost with safety Lathan Ransom announcing his return to the Buckeyes on Friday. Meanwhile, cornerback Denzel Burke’s status for 2024 remains in the air, and he sent Buckeye fans into a frenzy after tweeting a highlight video on Friday.

In the NFL, the debate surrounding Justin Fields’ status as the Chicago Bears' starting quarterback has heated up significantly with the Bears clinching the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. While Chicago will decide between Fields or a highly-touted quarterback prospect, it seems pretty clear the Bears' fanbase is behind their current signal-caller.

And…their support is for good reason.

C.J. Stroud, Fields’ successor at Ohio State, is set to play in the biggest game of his young NFL career on Saturday evening — as the Houston Texans travel to Indianapolis for a winner-take-all season finale with a playoff spot on the line.

Stroud has vaulted himself into the driver’s seat for the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award this season while leading the Texans to their first winning season since 2019.

Not only has Stroud excelled on the field, but he’s also made an impression on his peers, as the Houston chapter of the Professional Football Writers of America named him the Media Good Guy Award winner.

On the hardwood, Duane Washington Jr. found a new NBA home after signing a two-way contract with the New York Knicks.

With the Buckeyes to play Indiana on Saturday evening at Assembly Hall, it's as good a time as ever to look back on one massive Indiana native’s contributions to the Ohio State men’s basketball program.

Ohio State sophomore guard Kennedy Cambridge showed off a unique skill: making dolphin noises.

Perhaps Cambridge’s unusual craft helped the Buckeyes land her younger sister, Jaloni Cambridge, the No. 1 point guard in the 2024 recruiting class, to join her in Columbus.

And finally, Happy New Year!
