It was a good start to the weekend for Ohio State's cheerleading team.
On the first day of the 2025 UCA/UDA College Nationals at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, OSU's spirit program won the national championship in the gameday division on Friday night, its second in as many years at the competition.

It was the second straight year the Buckeyes won it all in the Division IA Spirit Program Game Day competition. To put that in perspective, before 2024, Ohio State hadn't won a national championship for the spirit program since 1993.
After dominating its competition in 2024, Ohio State did the same this year. OSU finished with a 95.1833m score followed by UL Lafayette (93.7167) and Washington (93.7).
School | Points |
---|---|
1. Ohio State | 95.1833m |
2. UL Lafayette | 93.7167 |
3. Washington | 93.7 |
The UCA/UDA College Nationals are streaming on Varsity TV and the FloSports app. Event replays, highlights, and breaking news will be available on both platforms. The rebroadcast will stream on Varsity TV on a 24-hour delay.
