Ohio State women’s golf had its best weekend in program history this weekend at the Clemson Invitational.
Going into the start of the tournament, Ohio State had never had a team score lower than 12-under for an 18-hole round. The Buckeyes broke that record in all three rounds of the Clemson Invitational, shooting -13 in round one before following that up with a pair of 16-under rounds in both the second and third rounds.
Cumulatively, Ohio State finished the weekend with a 54-hole score-to-par of 45-under (819), shattering its previous 54-hole record of 27-under (837) by 18 strokes.
Thanks to its record-setting play, Ohio State ran away with the team title at The Reserve at Lake Keowee, defeating second-place Arkansas – which entered the tournament ranked as the No. 2 team in the country – by 10 strokes.

Ohio State, which was ranked 24th in the country entering the Clemson Invitational, will look to build momentum off its record-setting weekend as it returns to Columbus to host the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational (April 12-13) in its final regular-season tournament of the year before heading to Havre de Grace, Maryland, for Big Ten Championships (April 18-20).
