Another week, another award for Ohio State's D'Angelo Russell.
After averaging 24 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 2.5 steals for the Buckeyes, Russell has been named the Big Ten's Freshman of the Week. It's the third time this year Russell has earned the award.
In Ohio State's 71-52 win over Michigan on Tuesday, Russell scored 21 points, dished out six assists and grabbed four rebounds. In the Buckeyes' 76-67 loss to Iowa on Saturday, Russell recorded his first career double-double with a 27 point, 14 rebound effort against the Hawkeyes.
So far this season, Russell has posted per-game averages of 18.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 4.8 assists while shooting 46 percent from the field and 44 percent from 3-point range.
