D'Angelo Russell — who, you might not know, still hasn't declared for the NBA draft — captured the first-ever Jerry West Award, given to the nation's top shooting guard.

It's likely to be a capstone on a productive day for Ohio State's leading scorer. Some accolades compiled by Ohio State's young gun this year:

  • 2015 Big Ten Freshman of the Year
  • 675 points (19.3 per game).
  • 198 rebounds (5.7 per game).

  • 16 games with 20+ points
