Thad Matta is known as a man with a terrific sense of humor.
Now, one of 2016's early sports meme is dripped in scarlet and gray.
After Ohio State topped Illinois Sunday, 75-73, Matta hovered over leading scorer Marc Loving's right shoulder during a postgame interview on Big Ten Network and said the word "Heisman" during live broadcast.
Friday, a Stanford fan took flack for yelling the same thing next to Heisman Trophy runner-up Christian McCaffrey's live on-field interview after the Cardinal defeated Iowa, 45-16, in the Rose Bowl.
Asked about it after the game, Matta laughed and said, "Did you see that guy?"
Yes, Thad, we all did. And we saw you too.
