Ohio State fell in a deep hole early and could never recover Sunday against Florida, falling to the Gators 74-66 in the second round of the NIT. The Buckeyes end their 2015-16 campaign with a 21-14 overall record.
Marc Loving scored 20 points, JaQuan Lyle tallied 19 and 11 rebounds and Daniel Giddens tied a career-high with 11 points but it wasn't enough to dig the Buckeyes out of an early 9-0 hole.
Four players scored in double figures for the Gators, led by Dorian Finney-Smith, who had 16. Finney-Smith also corralled a game-high 12 rebounds.
