JaQuan Lyle scored a team-high 17 points and Jae'Sean Tate added 14 points and 11 rebounds to lead Ohio State to a 66-38 win over Western Carolina on Monday night.
Kam Williams — starting in place of the injured Keita Bates-Diop, who remains day-to-day with a sprained right ankle suffered in last Thursday's game against Providence — added 13 points for the Buckeyes, who improved to 4-0 on the young season.
Ohio State, which shot just 42 percent from the floor, scored 17 of the first 21 points in the second half to turn a 14-point halftime lead into a 26-point edge with just over 12 minutes to play.
The Buckeyes continue their five-game homestand against Jackson State. Tip-off at Value City Arena at the Jerome Schottenstein Center is scheduled for 7 p.m.
