Indiana shot 59 percent from the field and scored the most points by a visiting team in the 18-year history of Value City Arena to knock off Ohio State on Senior Day, 96-92.
The Hoosiers led by 14 at the half, but the Buckeyes came roaring back by making eight of their first 11 shots o the second half to cut the lead to 62-61 with just under 12 minutes remaining. The lead went back up by shortly thereafter, and Ohio State was never able to get any closer than four.
The Buckeyes finish the regular season 17-14 overall and 7-11 in conference play. Jae'Sean Tate led the team with 20 points, while Trevor Thompson added 19. JaQuan Lyle and C.J. Jackson finished with 18 apiece, while senior Marc Loving pitched in 11 during his final home game.
Ohio State will be back in action on Wednesday in the Big Ten Tournament in Washington, D.C., as either an 11 or 12 seed. If Nebraska beats Michigan on Sunday night, the Buckeyes are the 12 seed and play at 4:30 p.m. The 11 seed plays at 7 p.m. at the Verizon Center.
