Behind a career-high 24 points from forward Jae'Sean Tate, Ohio State ran past Northeastern, 80-55, in its final tune-up before the PK80 Invitational.
Tate — who converted all 10 of his shot attempts — scored 11 of the first 13 to help the Buckeyes open the game on a 15-2 run, and they never looked back. Forward Keita Bates-Diop was also impressive, adding 19 points.
Ohio State will travel to Portland for the aforementioned tournament on Thanksgiving. Tip off against Gonzaga is set for midnight on ESPN2.
