Going into the 2017-18 season, most Ohio State basketball fans probably would have been content with a bid to the NIT. After all, it would have been a noticeable improvement on year's past.

However, after suffering a couple early-season setbacks, Chris Holtmann's team ripped off the best Buckeye January in five years.

Bookmakers are waking up. Bovada moved Ohio State's championship odds from "off the board" to 66/1 on Thursday. For the uninitiated, it means you would win $66 for every dollar bet if the Buckeyes win the big dance.

It was the largest jump for any team that started the month without odds, though the Buckeyes still trail in-state Cincinnati (33/1) and Xavier (40/1).
