Ohio State senior guard Kam Williams missed Ohio State's 75-67 win over Illinois on Sunday after head coach Chris Holtmann suspended him for a violation of team rules.
It appears he's going to miss the Buckeyes' biggest game of the season, too.
"It looks as of now that Kam will stay home from the Purdue game," Holtmann said during his weekly radio show on Monday evening. "That suspension is still in place. He’s got class back here he needs to attend to.”
Williams is averaging eight points and two rebounds in 22 minutes a game this season. Sophomore Andre Wesson made his first career start in Williams' place against the Illini, and chipped in two points, four personal fouls, three turnovers and one rebound in 26 minutes.
The Buckeyes and Boilermakers tip off at 8:30 p.m. in West Lafayette. The game will be broadcast on BTN.
