Ohio State blows out Indiana, 38-15. Now, it's time to do the same to That Team Up North.
The second season of the Chris Holtmann era at Ohio State will start on the road against in-state opponent Cincinnati on Nov. 7 at the newly renovated Fifth Third Arena, according to UC's athletics website.
It will be the 11th meeting between the two schools, and the first since the 2012 NCAA Tournament, when the Buckeyes bounced the Bearcats, 81-66, in the East Regional Semifinals. The game will also be the first matchup between the two programs played in the Queen City since 1920. Ohio State holds a 6-4 edge all-time against Cincinnati.
The two programs announced a home-and-home agreement in October that will result in the Bearcats visiting Columbus to start the 2019-2020 season.
The Bearcats are coming off of 31-5 season that ended in a second round exit in the NCAA Tournament at the hands of Nevada.
Ohio State's non-conference schedule is beginning to take form, as the Buckeyes are also expected to take on Bucknell in 2018-19, as well as UCLA in the CBS Sports Classic. The Buckeyes will also play in the annual Big Ten/ACC Challenge, although an opponent has not yet been announced.
