Ohio State once again killed Michigan's dreams of winning a championship in Indianapolis, and will face No. 2 seed Illinois as the Buckeyes go for their first Big Ten Tournament championship since 2013.
The two teams split the regular-season series, with Ohio State beating Illinois, 87-81, in Champaign two months ago, and the Illini returning the favor, handing the Buckeyes' a 73-68 loss in Columbus last Saturday.

Ohio State got its revenge.
After falling to rival Michigan 92-87 in the regular season, the Buckeyes got the best of their rivals to the north in the postseason, bouncing the Wolverines in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals by a score of 68-67.
With the win, the Buckeyes advance to Sunday's Big Ten Tournament Championship game where they will face the winner of Saturday's semifinal matchup between Illinois and Iowa.

Ohio State got off to a hot start, taking an 18-point lead into the half thanks to an 18-point first-half scoring performance from Kyle Young. But with Young on the bench for most of the second half with a head injury, Purdue fought back, using a late run to force overtime.
The Buckeyes, however, owned overtime, outscoring Purdue 15-6 in the extra period and making its final five shots to secure an 87-78 victory.
Howard, Turgeon Beef Highlights Friday Early Action
Michigan coach Juwan Howard was given a double technical and ejected from his team's 79-66 Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal win over Maryland Friday when he responded to something Terrapin coach Mark Turgeon said to him.

The fifth-seeded Buckeyes won their first game in three weeks, topping the 13th-seeded Golden Gophers, 79-75, in the second round of the Big Ten tournament on Thursday afternoon.
Ohio State led the entire game, but Minnesota made it interesting late, cutting what was a 12-point lead with 1:38 left to a one-point edge with 8.9 seconds after a Marcus Carr three-pointer.
The Buckeyes pulled out the win, however, thanks to free-throws from E.J. Liddell and Duane Washington Jr. to close the game.
