A majority of Ohio State's shots from behind the 3-point line went through the net on Saturday. Fifty-seven percent of them, to be exact.
It would be fair to compliment Duane Washington Jr.'s marksmanship considering he went 5-of-10 from behind the arc in Saturday's 68-67 Big Ten tournament semifinal win over Michigan. Or maybe you want to highlight E.J. Liddell going 3-for-4, Justice Sueing making both of his 3s or Seth Towns and Justin Ahrens making 1-of-2. They all chipped in to shoot the second-best single-game mark of the season.
But, as the country learned shortly after the game ended, there was somebody else involved.
A certain mother named Patty Holtmann.
