Of the 1,130 athletes to earn Academic All-Big Ten recognition from the Big Ten, 109 attend Ohio State.

Six men's basketball players were among them. Justin Ahrens (hospitality management), Jansen Davidson (finance), Harrison Hookfin (biology), Musa Jallow (applied clinical & preclinical research), Justice Sueing (psychology) and Kyle Young (kinesiology) earned the honors. A year ago, Young, Jallow and Hookfin were among the 94 winter academic all-conference honorees, too.

The winter sports broke down like this: Women's swimming and diving (29), men's swimming and diving (18), wrestling (14), women's gymnastics (14), men's hockey (13), men's gymnastics (9), men's basketball (6) and women's basketball (6).

To become a member of the Academic All-Big Ten team, athletes had to be enrolled in Ohio State for at least 12 months while carrying a minimum of a 3.0 grade-point average.
