Jake Diebler had some assistance in pulling off a win as acting head coach for the Buckeyes on Sunday.
The Ohio State assistant had to step into that role when Chris Holtmann and Ryan Pedon were ruled out of the Northwestern game due to health and safety protocols, but E.J. Liddell gave Diebler and the Buckeyes a major boost with a career-best 34-point effort against the Wildcats.
"It sure helps To have E.J. Liddell," Diebler said with a grin while sitting down for the postgame press conference at the Schottenstein Center following the win.
You can hear everything Diebler, Liddell and freshman guard Malaki Branham – who had 24 points for Ohio State in his own right – said about the 95-87 victory in the videos above and below.
