Justice Sueing will play another season of college basketball.

According to a report from CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein, though, "no final decisions have been made" on whether or not Sueing will play his sixth season at Ohio State.

Following the initial report, The Columbus Dispatch reported that Sueing is "likely" to come back to the Buckeye program in 2022-23, with an official announcement on his decision expected within the next week.

Sueing missed all but two games this past year as he dealt with an abdominal injury that stemmed back to the Buckeyes' 2020-21 postseason run. Sueing averaged 10.7 points per game as Ohio State's third-leading scorer as a redshirt junior, and was expected to play a significant role alongside E.J. Liddell in 2021-22.

Ohio State head coach Chris Holtmann openly said throughout the year that he would welcome Sueing back if he wanted to return in 2022-23, and the Hawaii native still has the opportunity to take him up on that offer.

A three-star high school prospect out of Mater Dei in 2017, Sueing averaged 14.1 points per game across two seasons at California before transferring to Ohio State in 2019. Sueing had to sit out the 2019-20 season, but started all 31 games for the Buckeyes the following year.

The versatile 6-foot-7 forward figures to play a starring role for the Buckeyes if he does return next season, given the recent NBA draft declarations of Liddell and Malaki Branham – the two top scorers on the team this past year.
