Carmen's Crew will be back this summer.
The Ohio State alumni basketball team took a one-year break from The Basketball Tournament, but according to a report from the Columbus Dispatch, it plans to return this year with a new-look roster.
The group, once again led by Jared Sullinger as head coach, is expected to feature former Buckeyes who played for the program more recently than much of the previous roster, such as Kaleb and Andre Wesson, CJ Walker, Keyshawn Woods and Trevor Thompson.
Carmen's Crew won the $2 million first-place prize in the TBT championship back in 2019 with a roster headed by notable Buckeye alumni Aaron Craft, Williams Buford, David Lighty and Jon Diebler. However, Craft and Diebler both retired from professional basketball following a loss in the regional semifinal round of the 2021 tournament in Columbus.
After revamping the roster over the past year, though, the team will be back in the mix this summer. TBT has yet to announce host cities or dates for the forthcoming tournament.
