Five of Ohio State's men's basketball games this season will be broadcast by Peacock.
The Big Ten unveiled its full television broadcast schedule for the 2023-24 season Tuesday, listing all 140 games that will be broadcast nationally amongst its conference members.
Out of their 31 regular season games, the Buckeyes will have 10 games televised nationally on either CBS, FOX or FS1. Another 11 games will be aired by the Big Ten Network and two games of Ohio State's stint in the Emerald Coast Classic over Thanksgiving weekend will be on CBS Sports Network.
Ohio State's second contest of the season against Texas A&M will be aired by Peacock on Nov. 10, then the Buckeyes will be on regular cable for a couple of months until their road matchup with Nebraska on Jan. 23. That kicks off a stretch of four Peacock games in as many weeks for OSU. The other games included in that list are Illinois on Jan. 30, Indiana on Feb. 6 and a road test with Wisconsin on Feb. 13.
Those games come as part of the Big Ten’s new media rights deal, which stipulates that Peacock will have the exclusive rights to eight Big Ten football games, 47 regular-season men’s basketball games (32 conference and 15 non-conference) and 30 regular-season women’s basketball games (20 conference and 10 non-conference each season). Peacock will also air the first two games of the Big Ten men’s basketball tournament.
On Monday, it was announced that Ohio State football's Oct. 14 game against Purdue would be exclusive to Peacock as well, marking the first time a Buckeye football game will air exclusively on a streaming platform.
The scarlet and gray’s five Peacock games won’t be the only ones that aren’t on linear television, as three games – including the squad's season opener against Oakland on Nov. 6 – will be available only on B1G+, the Big Ten Network’s streaming platform.
